Heath Saunders


HEATH SAUNDERS is New York based singer, actor, composer, writer, and multi-instrumentalist. He was most recently seen onstage leading the cast of Darling Grenadine at the Marriott Theatre in Chicago. He was also recently featured on the original cast recording of Duncan Sheik and Steven Sater’s new musical Alice by Heart. Most of 2018 was spent involved in Jesus Christ Superstar, first on NBC’s Live in Concert production, understudying the Emmy-nominated Brandon Victor Dixon, and then as Jesus at the Chicago Lyric Opera. His original musical, Newton’s Cradle, written with his mother, Kim Saunders, premiered at NYMF in 2016, starring him and his brother, Trent. Broadway: Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812. Off-Broadway: Alice By Heart (MCC), Newton’s Cradle (NYMF), I Am Harvey Milk (Lincoln Center), Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (NY City Center Encores!), Lennon: Through the Glass Onion (Union Square Theatre). Regional: Twelfth Night (Shakespeare Theater Company), The 12 (Denver Center), James and the Giant Peach (Seattle Children’s Theater), numerous productions at Seattle’s 5th Avenue Theater.
