Tolulope Aremu


Tolulope Aremu (Tolu, for short) is a first-generation Nigerian-British immigrant who completed her BFA in Fashion Design at Pratt Institute. She is the youngest daughter of Kola and Nike Aremu and the sister of Tobi Aremu. She believes that clothes are made for people, not genders. Because of her background in basketball, she is devoted to reinventing sportswear for all femmes. She traditionally draws from her Nigerian culture in all of her work. Through her work with CFDA / Vogue Fashion Fund winner Chromat, she has been featured in Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Vanity Fair, Paper Magazine, and many more. She also has designed and created the Chromat x Black Panther look for New York Fashion Week. She currently resides in Brooklyn, New York, working as Chromat’s Assistant Designer. She believes one should “have life and enjoy it in abundance, until it overflows…”.
