More about BIOPHONY: Biophony is a walk-about listening adventure where  90+ musicians present the works of 77 composers newly commissioned to create flexible, open-score pieces for outdoor performances.

Each performance and listener experience of Biophony will be unique, as determined by the unlimited flexibility of instrumentations, the topography of the site, and the freedom given to participants to choose their own musical adventure.

Constellation Chor will be performing four different pieces from the collection of compositions commissioned by the Metropolis Ensemble. We will also be performing our composition, LINEAGE(S) written by Chor members Chanan Ben Simone, Heath Saunders, and Kalli Siamidou based on Chor Sounding principles asks artists to be vulnerable with each other by acknowledging and then sharing the music that lives in their own bodies. We created a map that involves improvising and listening deeply to overlapping LINEAGE(S) gestures*.

Let’s celebrate music, place, and discovery this Saturday.  🌸 🌱

We are excited to see you there!
